Astribank 2 Software Update

The new Astribank models, known as ‘Astribank 2’, require a DAHDI/Zaptel upgrade. When appropriate software packages are installed, it is possible to use combinations of the old (Astribank) and the new (Astribank 2) devices connected to the same Asterisk server.

Updates Released

The following updates have just been released for Astribank 2 models:

1. New Zaptel source package
2. New Zaptel packages for Elastix and trixbox CE
3. "BRIstuff" patch with Astribank 2 support released for the first time

Problems Fixed

In addition, the following problems were fixed:

Under certain circumstances, there were voice distortions on channel 1 of the FXO module and LED indicators did not operate correctly. Fixed.

Under certain circumstances, when an FXO module was installed alongside an E1/T1 relatively strong “clicks” were heard during the calls via the FXO ports. Fixed.
