Elastix Asterisk 1.4.33.1 Incompatibility Issues

Problem Description

The Elastix Asterisk 1.4.33.1 package that was released on June 25, 2010 is not compatible with Elastix Dahdi 2.2.0 nor with Xorcom Dahdi 2.2.1. As result, Asterisk chan_dahdi.so initialization fails and the following error message is displayed in the Asterisk log:

ERROR[1827] chan_dahdi.c: Unable to get span status: Inappropriate ioctl for device

The problem occurs when E1/T1 PRI or BRI ports are used.

Xorcom Recommendation

For users who have upgraded to the latest Elastix Asterisk version 1.4.33.1 and have experienced this problem we recommend downgrading the Asterisk to version 1.4.31-2 as follows:
