trixbox CE Distribution

Beginning in 2004 as Asterisk@Home, the trixbox® Community Edition (CE) telephony application platform is the open source software that has quickly become the most popular Asterisk®-based distribution in the world.

trixbox CE combines the best of the open source telephony tools into one easy-to-install package, pre-loaded onto Xorcom Asterisk IP-PBX systems.

Why use trixbox CE?

trixbox CE allows you to build your own custom features and modules, while relying upon the trixbox community for help. The trixbox community is one of the largest and most active communities of trixbox and Asterisk users in the world. The members of this community work every day to help each other answer questions, resolve issues, fix bugs, make enhancements, and develop projects. trixbox CE has all the benefits of open source plus a commercial company standing behind it.

trixbox CE v2.4

trixbox CE v2.4, released in December 2007, provides the trixbox community with increased reliability and many new features, including a point-and-click, Web-based graphical user interface (GUI) that dramatically increases ease of use, streamlines installation, and virtually eliminates the need for the command line. Furthermore, v2.4 provides an enhanced call data reporting module, a new network interface configuration tool, a new admin status screen, and an improved endpoint manager tool that now supports Polycom, Linksys, Aastra, Cisco, Grandstream, and Snom IP phones.

Xorcom has developed a revolutionary concept in telephony interfaces for Asterisk systems which we call Astribank XPP Technology.

Using USB 2.0 ports to connect to any Asterisk server, Astribank eliminates the requirement for a PCI (E1/T1) card, and even for PCI slots.

Can You Run 300 Concurrent Calls on an Asterisk Server?

Find out the answer and more in the results from load tests recently performed on the XR3000, and explained in the "Five Culprits that Kill Asterisk IP-PBX Performance" recorded webinar.
