XR1000 - Firmware

Starting from Q1/2009, the XR1000 Asterisk-based appliance is based on a Via Eden 400 MHz processor (see data sheet).

The XR1000 Asterisk-based appliance that was sold prior to 2009 is DSP-based. If you are working with this model, we recommend that you work with the latest firmware (which is upgradable).

The firmware package is provided as a single 14.5 M bytes file. The file name has the following format:

xr1000-V.VV-YYYYMMDDhhmm.tar.gz

where:

V.VV - version number YYYYMMDDhhmm - year, month, day, hour and minutes when the package was built.

Firmware Upgrade Instructions

The firmware upgrade procedure consists of the following steps:

1. Download the appropriate firmware version from this page.
2. Reboot the XR1000.
3. Connect to the XR1000 with Firefox Internet browser and log in to the system.
4. Select the Software update item in the menu.
5. Click button Browse and select the downloaded file.
6. Click the Update button.
7. The update process takes several minutes (it may take longer if the update is done via the Internet).
8. When the version update is completed, the XR1000 will reboot itself.
9. Now your XR1000 firmware is upgraded. You may verify it by logging into the XR1000 via Firefox web browser. The firmware version will appear in the main window that will be opened (Summary).

Note: the firmware upgrade doesn't cause any loss of configuration.
