New: All-FXO Astribank Models Now Available

New Astribank Architecture Allows Greater Flexibility

We have completed an upgrade in Astribank architecture. This change enables us to offer all-FXO units with 8, 16, 24 and 32 ports. This change is currently relevant to the 19" chassis units, regardless of the number of ports actually assembled. In the future we will apply this change to the Astribank-16 size units as well.

The old architecture consisted of a master PCB that had 8 FXS ports, and, in case of Astribank-16 or higher, also FXS or FXO modules.

Old Architecture:

The dashed lines indicate the size of the Astribank-8 and Astribank-16.

So the old architecture:

1. The master card drives itself and up to three more modules.

2. It was not possible to make an Astribank-8, 16, 24 or 32 FXO only since the master PCB is FXS.

The new design we now offer looks like this:

1. The master PCB has no telephony ports at all and can handle up to four modules.

2. The models are completely interchangeable with one exception: there are two assemblies of FXS modules: One with I/O ports and the other without I/O ports.

3. A module with I/O ports may only be assembled as the first module (left-most).

4. FXO modules do not have any I/O ports, thus all-FXO Astribank models will not have this functionality.
