High Density, Multi-Type Telephony Expansion in a Compact UnitThe Astribank channel bank is interoperable with all current Asterisk PBX systems, due to the fact that the Astribank driver has been included as an official part of Zaptel (now DAHDI) since release 1.2.4. Astribank provides businesses a tremendous opportunity for expansion at a fraction of the traditional cost of telephony equipment, since a single Astribank channel bank supports up to 32 analog ports, up to 8 BRI ports, and up to 144 PRI + FXS/FXO analog ports in a 19" 1U chassis (144 = quad E1 + 24 analog ports). Multiple Astribank units may be connected to a single Asterisk server using different USB 2.0 ports, a USB 2.0 hub or USB 2.0 PCI card.
