I/O Ports

Astribank I/O option, available in all units containing XR0035 FXS module (see Asterisk Models Table for models that have this feature) enables simple connection of peripheral devices to Asterisk.

The four input ports create an event (off hook) in Asterisk. By configuration of the dial plan this can be used for dialing an extension, playing a message, sending an email, activating another device using the output ports etc. An example of possible usage of the output port is issuing a call to specific numbers and playing a pre-recorded message once the fire/burglar alarm goes off. Two RJ45 connectors are used for the six ports, one for the two output ports and the other for the four input ports.
