IP PBX ForumCategory: PBX How ToConnect Astribank to a virtualized Asterisk PBX
Gustavo GarciaGustavo Garcia asked 6 years ago
Hello.!  Our customers (VoIP integrators) often use Astribank linked to their own custom Asterisk PBXs.  The current trend is to virtualize the PBX. There have been situations where VM was not an option due to erratic USB connectivity issues to Astribank.  I am now being asked about a system with Debian 8, Asterisk 13 and Dahdi 2.11.1 plus Astribank. May this customer move to VM with confidence?

I have had success with Astribank connected to a CPBX5 when using proxmox, I mapped the usb port to the VM and tested on a non production system without any problems. I tested 2 different Astribanks 1 with 16 FXO and another with PRI & FXS, I did not have a PRI on site to test calls but was able to set it up.

Thank you for your answer Gary.  What about using virtualized Asterisk instead of virtualized CPBX5?  Tks, Gustavo.
