Telecom Connector Option (TCO)

Unites all FXS and/or FXO ports on the Xorcom unit into a single telecom connector on the rear panel

This option is available as an optional factory installed add-on for Astribank chassis (P/N XR0034) or Xorcom 2U height IP-PBX (P/N XR0034/2U) or with eight or more FXS and/or FXO ports.

To streamline installation of multi-port systems, the TCO unites all FXS and/or FXO ports on the Xorcom unit into a single telecom connector on the rear panel.

A special telecom connector cable with 32 color-coded twisted pairs (supplied as part of the option) routes the 32 ports to the building telephony wiring Crone. The Telco port is connected in parallel to the front panel FXS/FXO ports, and does not disable it – so the front panel RJ11 connectors can be used in parallel with the Telco port for maintenance or other purposes. In addition, the indication lights are active when the Telco port is in use.

The TCO is supplied with 3 meters (~9 ft) telecom cable by default. If you require a longer cable, here are three options:

  1. Order a 6 meter (18 foot) cable from Xorcom
  2. Buy a 78-pin high-density male D-type connector and make your own cable (view TCO cable specifications)
  3. Disassemble the connector from the cable and solder your own long cable

See Color Coding for TCO for additional information about the Telco Connector Option.
