As Elastix recently announced, they stopped providing Elastix MT and Elastix 4 due to a legal dispute with another open source distribution. In addition, it was announced that Elastix 5 will be based on 3CX, rather than Asterisk and FreePBX as was the case with previous versions.
How will this affect the Elastix-based Xorcom XR and XE product lines?
The answer is that there is no effect, as we do not offer Elastix MT or Elastix 4 in our systems.
As of now there is no change in our XR and XE product lines.
Alternative to Elastix product line Xorcom offers the main CompletePBX product line based on the CompletePBX software, which provides more advanced user interface and security and is developed and maintained by Xorcom.
